Secret-Ingredient Sugar Cookies

These sweet treats are a step above perfection!

Flour2 3/4 cups
Sugar1 1/2 cups
Baking Soda1 tsp
Baking Powder1/2 tsp
Butter1 cup (2 sticks)
Egg1
Vanilla1 tsp
Honey1 drizzle per cookie
11 minute cook time at 375°

Prep

Soften Butter in microwave for 15 seconds or until soft enough to stir. You will need a mixing bowl and at least one baking sheet.

Step One

Combine Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, and Baking Powder in the mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly for 30-60 seconds.

Step Two

Add Butter, Egg, and Vanilla to the Flour mixture. Stir until dry and wet ingredients seem equally combined. The ideal texture will be crumbly but with enough dampness to be squeezed into a ball.

Step Three

Use a spoon to measure out uniform scoops of dough, press them into a roughly circular shape and place two to three inches apart on a baking sheet.

Step Four

Place in oven on middle rack and cook for 11 minutes or until the bottom edge of the cookie starts to look solid and lightly brown.

Step Five

Remove from oven and lightly drizzle Honey over the tops of the cookies while still hot. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from sheet to prevent crumbles.
